The adsorber manufactured by the low-temperature adsorption hydrogen storage technology uses granular activated carbon to adsorb organic solutes (including color, smell, etc.) in the treated water in a fixed bed manner, so as to purify the treated water.


Scope of application:


It is only applicable to adsorbers represented by granular activated carbon and fixed bed. The particle size of activated carbon is recommended to be 0.8~3.0mm, the length is 3~8mm, and the strength is greater than 85%. Refer to JB/T 10193-2000 Technical Conditions for Activated Carbon Adsorption Tank.


Main classification:


Activated carbon adsorbers are divided into two types: pressure type; Normal pressure type.


Low temperature adsorption hydrogen storage device:


The cryogenic adsorption hydrogen storage tank is filled with super activated carbon or activated carbon fiber adsorbent, and the adsorbent is covered with liquid nitrogen jacket. When the diameter of the tank body exceeds 0.5 m, coils connected with the liquid nitrogen jacket are laid in the adsorbent bed, the radiation proof thermal insulation layer is outside the liquid nitrogen jacket, and the heat exchanger is buried in the adsorbent bed, The temperature and pressure of adsorbent bed and liquid nitrogen jacket system can be automatically adjusted.


technical requirement


1) Activated carbon adsorption tank shall be manufactured according to JB/T 2932 Technical Conditions for Water Treatment Equipment.

2) The weld appearance must be flat and uniform, free of slag inclusion, crater, air hole and other defects, and free of slag and splash.

3) When the equipment is pressure adsorption type, there shall be overpressure protection device.

4) It is recommended that the equipment support the activated carbon in the form of filter plate, and the flatness tolerance of the filter plate is 5mm.

5) The equipment shall be equipped with convenient backwash pipeline and drain port, and the discharged liquid shall not pollute the surroundings.

6) When the pressure difference between inlet and outlet water of the equipment is greater than 0.05MPa, backwashing shall be carried out with the backwashing intensity of 5~10L/(s · m). During backwashing, protective measures shall be taken to prevent activated carbon from being flushed into the pipeline.

7) Pressure gauge and convenient sampling port shall be set at the inlet and outlet of the equipment.

8) When the equipment is pressure adsorption, accurate calculation instructions shall be issued to ensure that the equipment can withstand the maximum working pressure.

9) When the equipment is of normal pressure adsorption type, it shall be tested for leakage with water. When the equipment is of pressure adsorption type, it shall be tested for hydraulic strength at 1.25 times of the design pressure (and not less than the design pressure+0.1MPa), and the weld and structure shall be checked for damage, abnormal deformation and leakage.

10) It is recommended to use carbon steel or stainless steel as the material of the equipment. When the equipment is of normal pressure and small diameter, it can also be made of plexiglass, plastic and fiberglass.

11) In addition to general corrosion, special attention shall be paid to electrochemical corrosion of equipment. When the equipment is made of carbon steel, before anti-corrosion, the surface treatment shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 8923 Rust Grades and Derusting Grades of Steel Surfaces before Painting, the rubber lining on the internal surface shall comply with the provisions of HGJ 229 Code for Construction and Acceptance of Industrial Equipment and Pipeline Anti corrosion Engineering, and the anti-corrosion coating on the internal and external surfaces shall comply with the provisions of JB/T 2932 Technical Conditions for Water Treatment Equipment.

12) When selecting activated carbon adsorption tank, users should select it conditionally, and make adsorption isotherm to determine carbon type, filtration rate, adsorption efficiency, carbon regeneration cycle, etc. The inlet water turbidity for water supply treatment is not more than 5mg/l, and the inlet water turbidity for wastewater treatment is not more than 20 mg/l. The pH value is recommended to be between 5.5 and 8.5, and there is no oil pollution. In order to ensure the adsorption effect, it is recommended to control the filtration rate of the empty tower at 5~10m/h, and the height of the carbon layer should meet the requirements of the adsorption process.

13) The structure of the equipment shall have sufficient rigidity and strength to withstand the impact of any load that may occur during operation.

14) The equipment shall be able to operate normally in the environment with ambient temperature of 0~50 ℃, relative humidity less than 95% and altitude below 1000m.
