In particular, the iron corrosion products accumulated on the support plate of the heat transfer tube blocked the flow path of the cooling water and caused the water level oscillation of the steam generator, which became the reason for the output reduction or sudden suspension of nuclear power.

As the iron corrosion product of this sediment, hundreds of kg are accumulated in the lower part of the steam generator every year. Therefore, in order to remove the corrosion products accumulated at the lower part of the steam generator, the removal operation is carried out during the preventive maintenance period of each scheme after the operation of the steam generator drainage system. However, because the iron oxide is consolidated at the bottom of the steam generator, it is difficult to remove it with the drainage system.
